Respecting Indigenous & Community Rights
Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) is the foundation of every project we develop. Before any activity begins, we consult the indigenous clans and communities who hold customary rights, secure their consent, and put in place transparent benefit-sharing agreements and grievance mechanisms.
This means recognising customary land tenure, paying fair compensation for land and production rights, and ensuring local communities share directly in the value created by carbon projects — the benefit-sharing mechanism at the heart of high-integrity carbon markets.
Indigenous Ulayat-Clan Benefit-Sharing Agreement

PT. Bintang Lima Makmur (BLM)
Reached agreement with the hereditary Ulayat clans Sounawe Aipura and Ainakahata and formally paid production and land-use compensation. This establishes a legal and economic framework respecting traditional indigenous rights — putting into practice the benefit-sharing mechanism at the heart of carbon markets.
